New Rig Build [No3] (Upgrade)

Post by CDMC »

Finally the time has come to upgrade from my 990FX board with AMD FX-8350 running at @4.5Ghz to Ryzen :D

I've been using FX-8350 for such a long time and this system was the best and the most stable i have ever used in a long run. I had intel and other AMD system, in fact i still do, yet this FX system is more stable than all of them put together and its been running science 2011 24/7 :emoji23:

New upgrade, heres the parts:
Asus Strix X470-F (all other motherboards are basically not worth the money or have garbage VRM's)
Image

Ryzen R5 2600 (or R7 2700 fingers crossed :emoji28: )
Image

Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3000Mhz (64GB in the future and if available ill grab 3200Mhz instead of 3000)
Image

I know new X570 boards and new 3000 series Ryzen CPU's are coming out soon, but i don't care. I picked up a decent board that will support 3000 series CPU's with a bios update, so i can upgrade in the future if i need to.

I hope this system be as stable as my FX was, tho i dbout it :emoji23:

And if anyone says "yOu dOnT nEeD 64GB oF rAm", my current system has 32GB and i've been using Chrome, VM's and now started to play Cities:Skylines, so YES, i need 64GB of ram :emoji23: :emoji23:
Skylines alone with few mods eats about 14+GB of ram now :emoji28:

Those are some decent parts. I run a Ryzen CPU for a year or so I think, really good CPU. Always liked AMD CPU's. Good bang for buck. Also have the Vengeance LPX, but ''only'' 32GB.

Can't wait to see the finished result.

order the parts with few changes

Ram: Team Group Delta TUF ASUS RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz (gonna buy 16GB more next month, 32GB in total, meh. RGB tho :emoji28: )
Image

Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 4 (cause adapter kit for H110 is out of stock everywhere locally, and its been running 24/7 for 7 years, so i think it did its job and its time to replace it :emoji23: )
Image

should get all the parts next week, excited af :emoji23:

fun fact, i payed for FX-8350 50euros more than what i paid now for R5-2600 :emoji28:

i wanted to buy Noctua, but they all are out of stock here :emoji30:

i kinda don't mind Noctua color scheme, cause if you see those colors in any build, you instantly know its Noctua :D They do make black fans too :D

I was wondering where my computer disappeared... Found it hiding under the bed in shame! :emoji28: :emoji38:
Nice build, can't wait to see it all put together! I enjoy watching computer builds (as well as building them myself)!
