Compressed natural gas/methane, alternative fuel to gasoline and diesel. Much more cleaner fuel with way less pollution.
Also, CNG is way cheaper than diesel or gasoline (at least in my country), so the companies decision to continue forward with acquisition of CNG vehicles makes sense with these raging fuel prices.

Here's the newest addition to our city. 8 electrics, looking to have a full 100% electric fleet "soon" after the big BYD bus purchase a couple years ago.

I bet if they kept that last 2008 MAN diesel around long enough, it would outlive all the other battery powered buses

I'm pretty sure it will lol. Before the electrics they used to run Mercedes O405s as spares for when the MANs broke down or whatever. I think they still have some around. Those would outlive everything lol.

One of them was donated to Sierra Leona as a mobile shelter for kids. Only picture of them I could find:

O405 is one of the best, if not the best product bus industry has ever offered, alongside the O404 coach. Simple bus, no fancy board computers, electronics etc... just pure, simple mechanics and off you go.

They had those buses here in the late 90s early 00s.



They where good I've heard, but not as good as it's predecessor the Den Oudsten DAF.

DAF still to this day have good engines, very reliable and fuel efficient. Most common DAF-powered bus here is the Berkhof Axial and VDL Futura!
