Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Attempted to fly Bristol-Girona-Bristol today although the sim had other ideas (there's a weird bug where if you pause the sim the autopilot stops behaving properly) but did manage a takeoff from Bristol and climbout, then flew the return leg from Girona.

Filmed my departure out of Bristol ... crosswind threw me off a bit! (and forgot the landing lights and TCAS...oops)

Still love this sim. Flew a couple flights last week, PMDG flies well and looks even better. Sick shots!

Treated myself to a new aircraft, the Fenix Sim A320. I've always flown Boeing aircraft in the sim so it's a nice new challenge to learn the airbus, and I have to say I'm enjoying it! Very different way of flying and "logic" to the aircraft but slowly getting there. Flew today from Ljubjana to Marseille:

It's a really nice addon, lots of features simulated and looks and sounds amazing too! PMDG have got some serious competition from Fenix!

I've been holding off on it because apparently power was off and fuel consumption isn't better than FBW yet, but might pull the trigger if i do take my pc to oxford. Insane looks I have to say

Had a very frustrating flight the other night ... flew from Gatwick-Hamburg in the A320, had all been going well, getting used to the a320 nicely, set up for an ILS approach onto Runway 23 at Hamburg. Decided to film a video for you guys of the approach and landing...

Unfortunately what I didn't realise is I was running really low on Disk space - got to the outer marker and disk ran out of space, which I can only assume caused this to happen! Skip to the last 30 seconds or so of the approach...



Wasn't impressed! Some screenshots from the first half of the flight anyway...

Wow that's quite violent end to the flight. Upgrading to a bigger SSD soon I imaging? Liked the video, looks so damn realistic!

Treated myself to a new airport addon, Berlin Brandenburg. Strange airport in that both times I've been to Berlin I flew into Tegel which is now shut down, and Brandenburg is its replacement.
