Nice screenshot! Is there any reason the exhaust tips are pointing up, I haven't seen that too often.

Aerodynamics. To dump the exhaust gasses in a low pressure area behind the car which would help reduce back pressure further at speed, creating more downforce.

Only the those rascal Mercedes drivers pushed the exhaust tips shut, so the car would loose power. In 1994 they changed the tips to normal ones:



Most DTM cars had their exhaust tips facing up, Audi V8, E30 M3, 190 class 1 etc.
