Always thought water tanks are a cool looking local landmark - nice touch to include in the game!
There was a couple of water towers at an ex American Air Force base just up the road from me for many years that you could see from miles away, sadly they developed the area for housing and demolished them despite local protests to leave the towers up as landmarks!
