you see ETS2 has more stuff and everything is more cramped thus needs to be loaded all at once. ATS is much more open less stuff around and doesn't have to be loaded all at once. Both ATS and ETS2 still runs basically on a single core... if it had proper multi-core support you would get even more FPS cause now CPU is the limiting factor.

also everything above 100-120fps maxed out is absolutely fine for me :D

there also can be that ATS as its newer game have better techniques to optimize the map... Wait, hm.. at this point yea, i think you're right then lol! Went full circle :emoji23:

looking at new parts of ETS2 map they do run pretty good

Yeah I find optimization is decent enough especially after they added DX11. I'm not on a high end kit but I can run it just fine and now it's even better. Slow improvement but as long as it's steady im happy

dx11 helped a lot to move more load of of CPU, thus higher frames

I run everything at max. Runs so much better than with DX9. The stuttering is almost gone. Everything is smoother with DX11. Now we have to hope that SCS is going to add multiple core support.

Hopefully... but that might mean some major engine overhaul which i dont know if they want to have to do.

they should cause basically everyone now have multi core CPU's. You can even call quad cores low end now a days. AMD really pushing the core game with its Ryzen CPU's.

They already moved to DX11 and if they continue to update and add more stuff to the game world, they should really think about multi core cpu support
