Some mods

Post by Alex »

For Maxidyne:

I thought seeing as you're new to the game I'd find a few mods and stuff for you to get you started!

Firstly, I recommend loading up a default bus, and going a few times up and down on the Grundorf map, to get a feel for the buses handling and passenger interactions etc .... it mightn't be a bad idea to do this with every new bus you get too, for the same reason...

So, addons:

Two very high quality addons are these:

Man Lion's City V2

Not much to say, insanely nice bus!

Mercedes-Benz 0405N2

Also lovely to drive, a little older than the MAN above :) Very detailed.

And of course, never forget the default buses, they are very very good!

As with any game, mods vary in quality - you can get some amazing buses and indeed maps, but some are shockingly bad! but it never hurts to try them anyway.

So in terms of maps ... my personal favourite is Tropical City, but it all depends on the style of map and scenery that you enjoy.... other well made maps include Bowdenham, Vlietburg, and many more ...

Tropical City 1.1

Holiday resort map set in Brazil ...

Bowdenham

British style map, quite resource hungry.

Gouda-Rotterdam

This is the dutch map I recommended you too earlier, nice long drive in beautiful scenery. Very dutch feeling to it :D

Of course many more maps and buses are available at the OMSI forum!

Most maps will require you to download additional files, so make sure to read the documentation ;)

Happy driving!

Thanks Alex for putting these Mods into one post...
Even though I've played OMSI for about a month now, I haven't got around to installing Mods. However, one I have finished rendering a Video, I shall download these and fiddle with some settings! :D

Many, many thanks Alex! Rep +. Going to try it tonight. I already played the game, pretty fun! Physics are almost spot on.
