contact spray is just to clean crap out. if you really need to fix it there are some special grease or something (i don't remember how its called) that can actually restore the traces and it should work as new. just buy a new one, potentiometers are cheap.
speaking of brake potentiometers, in ETS2 options mine is jumping a bit too, but i dont feel that in other games, or in ETS2 it self when im playing. strange. it doesnt do that in TM control panel, so it maybe its something with ETS2

Re: How do you feel right now?
Thrustmaster asks 20,- euros for shipping costs and 6,- for one potentiometer. Bought some special grease like you said, it works again! And bought some potentiometers for 2,- euros each, just in case if they ever fail.
No idea about that problem you've got. Must be ETS related if it doesn't show up in the TM configuration panel.

Bought CG60 grease. Works like a charm!

Did you solve your problem? Could be a driver problem.

Re: How do you feel right now?
I've always been sort of scared about the potentiometers failing. Back when I had my DFGT they'd start doing weird stuff and I'd open, clean the dust by hand and it'd go away for a while. Hope the G29 ones don't fail or if they do I can fix via just cleaning
