Love the diversity in buses you get to drive! That VDL is indeed a big boy, nice DAF steering wheel in that one Thanks for sharing the photos and videos, enjoyed them.

Well yea, DAF engine is also under the hood Great engine, has lots of power in it and the fuel consumption is ridiculous.
Got around 27 l/100km on the latest trip. For a bus of this size and capacity that consumption is really low, most double deckers get from 35 to 40 l/100km.
Can do easily 2500 km with one tank of fuel and about 5000 km with one tank od Ad-blue.

Yeah DAF engines have very good fuel consumption. Ours are also very economical, and pull well for 480 hp. To bad the modern DAF engines are Paccar ones, don't get me wrong; very good engines. But the original DAF engines where so reliable and good on fuel. Power wise they where not to shabby either.

@CDMC For now, pretty much, yep

@Maxidyne The most I've stayed on the road so far was 22 days. That was 3 different trips put together: Serbia-Italy, Serbia-Spain and Serbia-Greece.
But it depends on the time of the month/year and what the tourist agencies have to offer.

@Alex It was around 2200 km altogether, route Belgrade-Thessaloniki-Trikala-Igoumenitsa-Corfu and back.

This is also a former bus from my country I just see that on the instrument binnacle it says: hoogte bus 3.85 m. It means: bus height 3.85 meter.

That was almost a whole month from home! Longest trip I did internationally on the truck was 5 days. Don't remember the distance. Probably 2500k or a bit more.
